In February 2014 the business was sold to Shawn and Michelle Walter from Bill and Pat Kramer, who had owned the company since 2001. Shawn, the president of the company, has worked his way through every position within the company from general laborer, sales, sales manager, operations manager and general manager over the past nearly 20 years with our firm. Through his experiences in these positions, he has developed a unique perspective of the industry and how to best satisfy the needs of our customers. Shawn is a graduate from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering-Technology.
With well over 20 years in the asphalt maintenance industry, Tom holds the position as Project Manager of our asphalt maintenance division. Tom spent many years working with the various crews (crack sealing, infrared repair and sealcoating) in the field where he learned the best practices and methods towards a quality end product for our clients. Because of this background, Tom insists on providing very comprehensive quotes to his customers rather than simply giving a low-end and vague quote which will usually not be the best option for extending the life of the asphalt surface.
Ron joined Valley Sealcoat in 2016. He brought with him over 20 years in the asphalt maintenance and paving industry. By working with his clients, Ron likes to assist them in their decision making by providing them with proposals that best fit their needs. With providing a quality project, extending the life of your asphalt surface becomes his priority.
In 2006 Corey joined our company as a field crew leader. Over the years he was a crew leader for all of the various tasks we perform which allowed him to fully understand the all of the aspects of our field work through hands-on experience. In 2012 Corey was promoted to his present position of Field Operations Manager and is responsible to expertly complete the work that the sales team sells.
Karen is our office coordinator. In addition to answering the phone and responding to emails, Karen types up our customer quotes and enters orders for scheduling along with many other tasks. Karen has been with us since 2006.
Amy joined our team in June 2019. She brings with her over 10 years of office management experience, along with a diverse background in various construction trades. Amy provides administrative support for our sales team, along with all other tasks involved in running an office.
All of our crews are thoroughly trained and understand that only through providing our customers with excellent work will the company be able to continue to grow and maintain the quality reputation we have worked so hard to achieve. A special recognition to Mike V.W. and Donny for the many years of dedication (Mike-34, Donny-13) that they have given to the company.
